Pirate Sage

Be a mysterious sage for a superstitious pirate captain!

You have been hired by the illustrious captain snap-patch, he has a ship, a crew, and a mighty sense of adventure. But the storm season is fast approaching...

can your predictions of the weather cycles help him get his treasure home before all is lost?

How to play?

You play by advising the captain, he will come to you at the beginning of the day with news and ask you what he should do, you might not want to send the crew to explore a forest in blistering heat, and you should take advantage of high wind and clear skies when you have it!

Your goal is to get the trident of King Triton before your run out of crew or your ship is sunk, and try to get as much treasure along the way as you can carry.

You can see the state of your ship in the bottom-right. How much crew you have, food reserves, your ship health, and your treasure.

How do I predict the weather?

The weather is made up of three parts, heat, humidity, and wind.

You have a few tools in your drawer, on the top-left of the screen

• The Bones: Your trusty bones will fall into a pattern relating a random single element of the weather (heat, or humidity or wind) telling you what state it will be in.
  The patterns are different for every journey, you will have to re-learn them each trip.
  (Note: the individual types of bones don't matter, just the overall shape)
• Spyglass: You use your powers of observation to guess at one part of the weather, you won't be very accurate in the beginning but some treasure could improve your chances.
• Dark Magic: Call upon dark forces to learn about one part of the weather for certain. But there might be consequences...
• Ask the parrot: Who knows...maybe he can help?
